I posted this in 2010, before things finally came in:
http://goes-to-11.blogspot.com/2010/04/predictions-on-nintendo-3ds-and-next.html
Ok, will look a bit by bit at each part of the prediction:
* Graphics comparable to 360 and PS3, but smaller.
After dust cleared: To be determined. Some look real good, but others not the same. I would say nope here on whole. Sony's next handheld is said to be pushing graphics similar to the PS3.
* Use the case seen with the DSi XL. Will have two analog sticks at the bottom (one on each side of the screen, in addition to the D-Pad). It will also add two trigger buttons on the unit (under the normal buttons), and have a layout similar to what is seen with the 360 and PS3. Will have the similar layout for the screens with the top screen being 3D and the bottom one still being touch screen. It will be clam shell as has been the norm.
After dust clears: Mixed. Right about case and two screens. Wrong about two triggers and also the second analog stick. Motion sensor can be argued to make the second analog stick not needed. 3D sliders wasn't seen by me.
* Next Nintendo home console will run 3DS software, along with Wii software. It will have full integration with the 3DS system, and allow players to use their 3DS systems as controllers with the next Nintendo home console. Look for the possibility of 16 player simultaneous LAN party action using the next Nintendo home console.
After dust cleared: Dust has not cleared yet on this.
* The 3DS will feature improved connection to the Internet and Nintendo will expand its online service to be closer to the 360 and PS3. Downloadable movies will also be a possibility.
After dust cleared: Still to be determined, but I would still hold likely. Nintendo has talked about an expanded service for the 3DS.
* Will be priced at $200 at launch, $250 max.
After the dust cleared: It is clocking in at the $250 max price point.
* Will contain numerous titles not yet released on the Wii, like F-Zero, and possibly a 3D Punch Out.
After the dust cleared: F-Zero is not clear yet, but the rest looks to be true. Star Fox is supposed to be coming to the 3DS as is Kid Icarus.
Net outcome? Mixed bag.

Review: LittleBigPlanet 2
Review: LittleBigPlanet 2.
Genre: Platformer, game construction set.
System: Playstation 3.
Reviewer: Rich Hutnik
Summary: Battle against Negativitron as you attempt to set the universe of Sackboy right playing through a series of game genres, including platformers and shooters. Players also have a powerful construction set to not only create new levels, but new games.
Pros:
* Positive story in campaign mode that speaks to having positive thoughts and a good attitude.
* Excellent music on a number of the campaign levels.
* Broad range of game styles in campaign mode, from not only platformer, but also side scrolling shooter, and run and gun, to small puzzlers and scrolling racer.
* Pulls off the rare feat of, while being a construction set based, NOT feeling cookie cutter in level design.
* VERY large range of user created content in style. So far, LBP2 has seen a Minesweeper game, racing games, pinball, dual stick shooter and puzzles. More content is being added all the time.
* Including original content online for LittleBigPlanet 1, there are MILLIONS of levels and mini-games available.
* Epic is a near understatement for the broadness LitteBigPlanet 2 covers.
* Four player simultaneous play available on a number of levels.
* Move support.
* If you had/have LittleBigPlanet 1, and you save your defaults, they transfer over to LittleBigPlanet 2. This includes your Sackboy.
Final Score:
11/10 (see commentary regarding this review to understand the basis of it getting an 11/10. The reviewer of this game is a big fan of Sackboy and LittleBigPlanet 1).

Challenge reviewing LittleBigPlanet 2, and a solution.
I have been wanting to review LittleBigPlanet 2 on here. An issue I have faces is the issue of content for it. Due to the sheer amount of content, it is tricky trying to find the best of the best of user generated content. This sheer amount of content is the strength of LittleBigPlanet 2, but also makes it a challenge to find it. Because of this, I had been tossed on deciding what the final score should be. Well, I have now decided on a final score and have come up with a solution.
The solution is, from time to time, I will post reviews of specific levels in LittleBigPlanet 2, that users created, that are really worth the time. With a guide like this, LBP2 is definitely worth the final score it will be given. Check the review of LittleBigPlanet 2 on here to see what I mean.

Review: Filler 2
Review: Filler 2
Genre: Action-arcade.
System: Web browser game (using Flash)
Reviewer: Rich Hutnik
Summary: User mouse to point and click to fill play area with bubbles/balls, while avoiding having them pop by balls that bounce around the screen as they are filled in. Players get so many attempts before the game can end. Filled in balls/bubbles, don't pop and then fall to the bottom of the screen. Clever strategy and quick hand-eye coordination required to be able to complete levels. Game play is cousin to the arcade game Qix, but adds its own unique twist.
Pros:
* Very addictive gameplay.
* Refreshing twist on Qix.
* Free to play. One place to play is here:

* Easy to master controls.
* Surprising depth.
* I LOVE this game.

Review: Borderlands (and expansions)
Genre: FPS, RPG hybrid.
System: XBox 360, PS3, IBM PC (XBox 360 version reviewed, single player only)
Reviewer: Rich Hutnik
Summary: Players single player or coop storm the planet Pandora (not to be confused with the moon from the movie Avatar) for loot an obscenely large number of procedurally generated weapons. Graphic of the game are done in a cell shaded manner.
Pros:
* Fun cross between an FPS and an RPG ("hack and slash" loot hunt variety like Diablo, but with guns).
* Colorful and offbeat characters, with an off-kilter satirical look at life.
* Outside of stock weapons in game, never likely to find the same weapon twice.
* Pandora is a pretty large place to explore with the expansions. Quick navigation helps cut the time down.
* Hour and hours of play, with the expansions. Also replayable at a higher difficulty setting.
* Interesting cell shading style graphics the reviewer believes works for the game, and gives it longevity (In other words, years from now, people can still return to play the game and it holds up).
* No Rest for the Wicked (song) that kicks off the game, really sets the tone. The sniper character spinning his knife in the intro video to that song is just awesome.
* Four different character classes that play different, but aren't so restrictive that you are limited from using all weapons in the game. Some classes use different weapons better. The reviewer gout hours of play out of the Solider class and his turret he would drop down.
Final Score:
11/10 (Note: This game is arguably the reviewer's favorite game on this generation's consoles).
